Job Description

HR is known locally as the expert in flower & vegetable seed market, but over the last few years we’ve grown to also include plants, bulbs, fruit, garden furniture – in fact everything you could want to create a stunning garden for your home. We generate over 2 million orders per year marketing our products via our website, catalogues, magazines, newspapers, Amazon, EBay and home shopping TV channels.

Our number one focus is offering fantastic service and as such we’re looking for high calibre individuals to join our busy Contact Centre as Customer Service Agents.

We are a non-sales environment Contact Centre and deal with inbound calls only. Our Customer Service agents are responsible for every aspect of our customers’ experience, from the initial processing of orders right through to handling enquiries. We receive contact through a range of channels such as telephone, post, email and social media.

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitating human resources processes
  • Administering employee health and welfare plans
  • Acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers
  • Resolving benefits-related problems
  • Ensuring the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services
  • Administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Answering employee requests and questions
  • Assisting with new employee hiring processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related (essential).
  • 2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator (essential).
  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
